Ava's first birthday pictures

Hooray- we finally got them! The photo session went ok. Ava wasn't her usual happy self so we only got about 2 GREAT ones and the rest were just ok. Hope you enjoy :)

Funny story: Ava WON'T walk. She stands and is stable and we know she could walk if she wanted to, but she refuses. So right in the middle of the photo shoot- she is standing on the backdrop and I am behind the photographer and.......... she starts walking. Seriously she walked liked she had been doing in for months. Luckily the photog snapped the picture just in time so we got in documented because she STILL won't walk at home!!





Mindi said I couldn't buy this one because of how she is sitting, but I still think it is funny!

Ava has started doing this cutest thing with her hands outstretched when she wants something. Needless to say- I usually give it to her because she looks so cute with her hand out like that and looking down at them. Now if we can just get her to say please!

So on Saturday (Ava's Birthday) Ava's cousins, Baylee and Trey came up to have a party with her. These are the pictures that Grandma Ramsay took because we left our camera at Mindi's.

Aves mainly just liked all of the attention because she really didn't understand the whole present thing yet.

Of course Baylee and Trey were willing to help out.

As you can see there were lots of books which is great because Aves loves them just like her mom.

Birthday pictures

Here are all the belated birthday pictures. Ava had two parties- one on Saturday with the Ramsays (I left my camera at Mindi's so I didn't get any pictures!) and one on Sunday with the Stirlands. We had so much fun and took about a thousand pictures. So sit back, relax, and get ready for tons of comedy and fun....

Present from us to Ava. If any of you parents out there are looking for a way to minimize the toy mess- I hightly recommend this one. All the toys are pretty much attached. We took all Ava's old toys dowstairs and just keep this in the living room and what a different in the mess level it has made! Plus it's super fun for Aves :)

Let the present opening begin... Funny story: I have been wondering whose super super skinny leg this was (the grey thing) and just now did I realize that it is Luke's arm!! Not that it is a skinny arm babe, it's buff- I swear!

I bought this shirt for Ava seriously like 3 months ago because I loved it. In case you can't read it it says "birthday girl" on it

Cake time.... This is the infamous bunny cake that we have all had for our 1 year old birthdays. Thanks mom for being so creative. My dad kinda thought it could be a lobster.

Story: This might seem very strange, but Luke and I don't feed Ava refined sugar. It's has been tough sometimes, but because of it she is a really good eater and absolutely loves fruit! This was her first real experience (other than the few times she has been slipped some behind my back!) eating something real sugary and I was curious to see how it would play out.

She took one bite and then was done with it!

She really didn't like it. When she did this I was like "success!!!" I am sure that she will eventually be given some sweets, but I am just trying to prolong it as long as I can without being too weird.
