We had a great great vacation! We spent 5 days at Disneyland, a few days at the beach, and a day at the U of U vs. UCS game. Ava and Sawyer did so good and loved it all. We made some great memories as a family. Ava is a professional rider of rides at Disneyland- the only rides she didn't go on were Space Mountain and Indiana Jones (to short!) she's was so brave to go on Tower of Terror and Splash Mountain (her favorite!). It was all so fun!!
Enjoying our nightly view of "World of Color" complete with the music!
Oh this girl loved Disneyland! She was so devastated when she found out it was our last day- as we left the park, she was in tears saying, "I don't ever want to leave this place...." it was a heartbreaker!
Sawyer took everything in! He's so active that he spent most of the time when not on rides, sitting in his stroller- but he was so good! He loved all the characters, rides, parades, and treats :) My mom was so awesome with all her help taking many turns at herding/holding/chasing Sawyer
Carousels were, of course, a total favorite!
Disney junior on stage is probably one of the best surprises at Disneyland! It was probably the first and only time Sawyer has stayed in the same place for 30 minutes straight!
Yes, even at Disneyland, sometimes we had to break out the iPhone and "let" S play some games....
While Salt Lake was enjoying very lovely high 70-low 80 degree weather, we in Cali were definitely NOT enjoying the low to high 90 degree weather!
Ready to head to the park!
We enjoyed a hairdo at the "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique" our second day at DL- Ava felt like a total princess!! It was so worth it- all around the park- the workers would say "hello princess!" Ava was in seventh heaven! Oh, and the lady that did it used so so so so so so much product- the hairdo was impeccable, not one hair out of place.... she told us it would last atleast 3 or 4 days..... and it would have! But we took it out and washed it four times the next morning :)
waiting patiently for the diva to be done :)
All ready to go! Ava admired herself in windows and mirrors all day long....
We rode Small World at least 10 times over the days we were there just to get a 15 minute ride of perfect air conditioning!
Luke- what a great dad and husband! He is usually one step ahead of me when I need help. He did most of the holding- took S back to our room for a nap every day (and probably to catch some football/shut-eye himself!) and was just so amazing! He took Ava on all the rides I couldn't go on and even got Jonah to go on Splash Mountain a few times. He's not a huge Disneyland fan, but is so great to let me make a family vacation there to take the kids because he knows how much they'll love it. Love you babe!
This little princess fell asleep every night on our way back to the hotel (and it usually wasn't even that late....) S, on the other hand, wouldn't fall asleep if we paid him!
See..... this is the hairdo the next morning.... Still totally intact!
Hair freedom!
Love Rainforest Cafe breakfast!
Ruby's Diner take one..... YUM!!
What I like to call, "the before picture".....
And the after pictures..... It was too cold to wear swimsuits, but I should have known both kids would fall in the water and get sandy!
Ava out cold.... Sawyer just getting started! His eyes are closed because of the flash, but seriously- the entire way home he was putting his fingers in Ava's nose, touching her face, ect. and Ava didn't move a muscle!
The game! It was a total blast!!! Sad that we lost, but oh so close :) Our great friends, Brit and Drew came with us and we had such a great time catching up, laughing, cheering, and eating THE BEST bratwurst every made!
Sunday- we attempted to go to church but it turned out to be stake conference :( Second time that's happened on vacation!
So we attempted to have our own little Sunday time in our room :) It was not too peaceful!
So we put S down for a nap, Beej offered to stay with him, and we hit up Ruby's diner for round 2!
Jonah and Ava had a blast and Disneyland and at the beach! We had one really great beach day with good weather :)
We enjoyed some swimming time at the hotel pool
Very few pictures were taken of this mommy :) I was the designated picture taker and am in that awkward- not too pregnant, but chubby phase!
Jeff, Craig, Mindi, and Jonah joined us for the second half of the vacation and it was so fun!
Plus, we had an additional Sawyer-sitter :) Thanks Jeff!
Katy's hair + any humidity = not too attractive! Hey- at least I should get props were spending some time on it, right!?
Again.... the hair....
Ava making friends while waiting for Aladdin to start :) What an amazing show they put on!
Enjoying Monsters Inc.
A little Jungle Cruising
