One great year!

Sawer turned 1 yesterday!!!!! I think a baby's first birthday is so bittersweet- it's the end of the baby years, but the beginning of the toddler/learning/growing years :) Saw has been such a great addition to our family! When people see Sawyer they always comment on 1 of 3 things (sometimes all!) 1- His lack of hair 2- His blue eyes (made bluer by his lack of hair!) and 3- How happy he is. All three are true about Sawyer and we love it. He's always got a smile and loves life. He's been a pretty easy baby so far (minus the whole sleep training at 6 months taking longer than just a few days!). My favorite things about Sawyer are: great sleeper, his crazy dancing to music, how much he loves a soft blanket, his smiles, and the way he plays peek-a-boo even without anything to hide behind! We're so thankful for his good health and his personality. We love you little guy! Here's to another great year....... and some hair growth :)

Chicago in a nutshell

I was planning on doing long, detailed, fabulous posts about our vacation, but I'm having a hard time getting up the desire.... So- here is the condensed version of Luke and my first vacation without our kids. We had a great time and I can't wait to go back to Chicago again! ( next time with Ava so we can go to the American Girl store together!) The weather was beautiful in Chicago, the football game Saturday was cold, rainy, and a total letdown (thank a lot Utes!). We are so happy to be home with the kids now- a big thanks to our babysitters!
