The time has come...

To stop elasticing my pants button and wearing a belly band over all my pre-pregnancy jeans.... Sad day (but happy too!) Time to dig out all my old maternity clothes and cross my fingers and hope I have some not too shabby dress pants to wear that fit :) Wish me luck!

PS- I guess it's not too bad considering I am 18.5 weeks- thanks goodness for being tall (I'm 5'11'' in case Luke is wondering...)

To Luke:

Happy Father's Day yesterday! You are such an amazing dad and I couldn't ask for someone who would be more supportive of our family goals or someone who is willing to help with whatever (including bathroom cleaning!). I love you a lot and am super super excited to have another baby who will be lucky enough to call you "Dad!" Thanks for playing with Ava, for helping me so much, and for working so hard for us!

Playing Outside

We love being outside..... when it's not raining that is (which it has done about 60 out of the last 70 days, it feels like!) Ava loves to run and play- I wish we had a backyard! I bought her a little tricycle last week and she mostly loves it. I think she looks so so cute with her little helmet on, riding her little bike.

Sunday Afternoon

We are back in our old, new ward building finally and back to 9 o' clock church- HOORAY!!! I love love love early church and having the whole day fter church to relax and have quality family time :) This past Sunday we had long naps, reading time, BBQ dinner, and played with cousins- it was a great day! Next Sunday we'll be in Kanab for Father's Day and we are excited!

It's been so great lately- Ava is so into going into her room and looking at books by herself for at least 10-15 min at a time! It's so cute :)

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

Luke has been out of town for a few days for business and my mom has been up helping with Ava while I am on rotation. A while ago we bought tickets to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, at Capitol Theater and it was last night. It is also Girls Camp in our ward this week (which I will be leaving to go to in about 45 min :) So I couldn't find a babysitter. Rather than let the tickets go to waste I decided to give it a try with Ava. Mindi, Mom, Ava and I headed to the play and prayed for the best! Ava did so unbelieveably good our prayers must have been answered. I didn't even have to give her very much candy :) She really liked the whole play- especially when the car started to fly! It was a great play- top notch! The acting was fantastic and the scenery and special effects were so great :) We had a fun girls night out and I can't wait to take Ava to another play.

I downloaded the main song from the play and Ava has been listening to it over and over again- at one point in the song she gets a super excited look on her face and says "the cars gonna fly, momma!"- it is so cute

We had a great weekend- sans pictures...

We had some fun family time over the weekend. I took Ava swimming on Thursday (not the weekend!) with Mindi, Kari and the kids. It was a little windy and chilly, but of course- Ava completely loved it and wasn't fazed. Friday is my long long work day so nothing fun ever happens, but at least Luke and I get to spend quality time together when I get home from work :) Saturday Luke, Mindi, and I ran a 5k for the Hemophilia foundation and Mindi and I did it in 32 minutes- pretty impressive for a 15 week pregnant lady! Luke did it in 26 minutes which is also very impressive :) When we got home we showered (thank goodness!) and ran errands. We took Ava to Barnes and Noble to play with the trains and to get some new books, went to Old Navy and got 2 great dresses for $30 which I thought was pretty good, went to Hogi Yogi and used our race coupons on some delicious sandwhiches, went to Smith Tixx to find our tickets to The Fray are twice as expensive as advertised :( and then went home. After Ava's nap we saw a matinee of the new Disney movie "Up." Ava did so great for the first time during a whole movie- except she is deathly afraid of sitting on the stadium chairs since they can fold back up if your not heavy enough!--- figures, she's not afraid of anything, but put her on a folding chair and she freaks! The movie itself was alright I thought. I was a little bored and I miss the cute little Aladdin and Cinderella type movies. ***Spoiler: any movie that startes out with a couple nbot being able to have kids and a old lady wife dying is not my idea of entertainment**** Anyway- afterwards we went to the mall and I got a $108.00 shirt for $15.00 which I consider a HUGE success!!! Then went to our favorite Japanese/Sushi joint and filled ourselves up before fast sunday :) Sunday was relaxing with a fitting dinner of homemade chili and cornbread (it was gloomy, rainy day) finished up with scotch-a-roos for dessert. We played games for hours (well, not me exactly- I don't like the game everyone seems to be obssessed with so I look for any excuse to opt out!)- but I was able to get some quality reading in. *** Wives and Daughters, an 1800's novel by Elizabeth Gaskill which after reading 650 pages I learned that the book wasn't going to end because she died right before completing it!! ARRRGGHHH- couldn't it have warned me of that from the beginning!? Anyway- great weekend. My mom's up this week to watch Ava until our nanny gets home from vacation :) Fun times to come. Oh, and I will be spending a glorious day at Girl's Camp on Wednesday.... Hope it doesn't rain that day! I have some super sexy metallic red cowboy boots in honor of our theme!

What could be funner?

Than a night out with the girls to see Taylor Swift!? We had so so much fun and it was a great concert. It was definitley teeny bopper- which, halfway through I realized she wasn't really just a little younger than me. Nope- I am 25 now. In denial and I ussually forget I'm not still 21! I love TS songs and she is a such a down to earth girl :) I am not sure how one girl aged 18 could have so much bitterness towards boys, but it was entertaining!

We are very happy to say:

It's A Boy!!!!!

A week ago, I would have been shocked to find this out, but over the last week I have started to think we would not be having another girl, but a little slugger! It's a good thing- he will need to be super tough to keep up with his big sister :)

PS- We found out on a fluke, 14.5 week ultrasound. He is definitely a boy.....
