I'm back!

After a very grueling (very very grueling!) three weeks in pharmacy school (and one was a full week of Spring Break!). I have rejoined the real world. I ahve been preparing since last December for a presentation I had to give. It was on the use of dexamethasone in neonates with Chronic Lung Disease and it's potential long term effects on neurodevelopment. I had to give a 45 minute presentation evaluating the literature and answer questions my collegues and professors had. It was intense and the last three weeks were total crunch time! My seminar was given yesterday and I had a kinetics exam the hour before I had to give my seminar. It was kind-of a nightmare! And then I had another exam today at 11:30 am----- so, needless to say it has been crazy, but I am happy (so happy!) to report that I am finished with the hardest part of my schooling, I will be officially done with classes for the rest of my life in 5 weeks, and my seminar and exams went great! I am totally loving life now :) As crazy it has been, I have still found important time to spend with the loves of my life. Here are some fun things we have done lately:

We had a super fun family/cousin dinner last Sunday. We had great food and played some fun games together- we missed all you cousins that don't live close enough to party with us!

How could I not post this sweet girl first!?

Sweet hugs!

Cheese :)

Ava has been the funniest girl ever lately. She has woken up a few times lately in the middle of the night yelling the funniest requests: This night it was- I want my jacket, I want my jacket! So, I put a jacket on her and put her back in bed and she was happy. A few nights ago she woke up yelling- I need my backpack, I need my backpack (this time, however- I did not comply!) Oh and in this picture I caught her in the middle of a tantrum....

Someone can count to ten.... in Spanish!

So, we have a lot of time on our hands during the winter and Ava loves to learn! We get a little bored with the normal routine and so we shake it up a little. Instead of counting to 10 in English, we count in Spanish. Hooray!!

Swimming.....??

Every Thursday, Ava and I go to a playgroup with our friends. Last Thursday I thought we were going swimming (at an indoor pool) and so we got all ready to go. Ava could not have been more excited! She was so cute in her new swimsuit. She came into the bathroom and asked me to lift her up so she could see her swimsuit and when I did she was doing modeling poses checking out her swimsuit! It was the funniest, cutest thing ever. So we got all ready and got to the pool only to find out that open swim didn't start for 2.5 more hours! Boo! I almost started crying, seriously because I didn't want to break the news to Ava..... Turns out I had read the calendar wrong and we were doing something else- playing in someone's backyard instead. So I thought quickly, put on my running clothes, bundled Ava up and went for a run which ended up at our playgroup. It all turned out fine and Ava had fun playing with her friends, so it wasn't a total wash!

I call this the karate-swim shot

Read to run

It started out as a nice day, and 20 minutes into our run, the wind started blowing and it got cold. Luckily, Ava was able to barrow one of Milo's jackets!
