These are funny and entertaining times!

Having an almost 9 month old must be the funniest thing I have ever experienced. There are so many times a day when I am laughing because of something ava has done, a look she has given me or the camera, or a sound she is making. I feel so blessed to have such a happy daughter. I will be sad when she leaves this stage because then I will have lost the best free entertainment on earth! Ava is growing up more and more each day (I know- don't all moms say that) it's truly amazing to see her learn a new skill. Everyday when I go into her room to get her out of her crib and she is standing up staring at the door, or scratching the wall, or looking up at the butterflies on her ceiling yelling at them- I am so amazed at how quickly she changes. What a blessing we have been given to raise her. Sorry about the serious reflection going on, but I guess it was just one of those days when it really hit me that I am a mom and Ava will be all grown up one day. So, here, to entertain you (even if just a fraction of how entertaining I think it is) are some more pictures of Ava in all her glory..............

I don't know how to describe this look. It looks a little sneaky to me...

This is my nephews toy and luckily it kept Ava pretty occupied the other day when we were at Mindi's house

This isn't what Ava is wearing for Halloween (she is going to be a ballerina- pictures to come..) But this was Jane's costume a few years ago and so we tried it on Ava. The next picture is of Jane wearing the costume two years ago.

This is Ava trying to lick the wood floor- I guess because it was so shiny.

Ava trying to sneak peak around the couch at me.

The contemplative cracker picture

Love it!

Jane, Aves, and I at Gardner Village with some friends. We went and saw "The Witches" and it was so fun. Who knows what Ava is laughing at in this picture.

Ava and her friend Zeke checking out eachothers binkies

Last week when Mindi picked up Ava when I was at school, this is what she found on Ava's feet. Mismatched Lightning Mcqueen and Spiderman socks. My friend who watches Ava when I am at school said that we could just throw them away, but I don't think I will- they are such a fashion statement!

Ava last night after a busy night at CornBelly's at Thanksgiving Point. She fell asleep while we were there and didn't make a peep the rest of the night. She was out cold when we got home and I had to take a picture because it was so cute.

Bath Time and more..

What a cute picture of the two girls. Ava is just happy to be there.

Farewell to this little bear. Ava figured out that her teeth are great for something besides eating...

How long until she can actually DO the dishes??

I couldn't post this picture with the other vacation pictures because our candy was in Kanab, but this is from trick-or-treating at Disneyland. It was well worth the extra money since we got tons of candy!

Ava has liked this toy from the very beginning. She gets bored with everything else, but these are always good for a few minutes.

Mom and Ava getting ready to go shopping. YAY!!! (Ava looks thrilled!)

More vacation pics

I wanted to post the rest of our vacation pictures. There are some cute ones of Aves (and Luke!)

She will kill me for this one someday too! I think her little belly is so cute and Mindi said I HAD to put it on here.
Ava peeking through the seats on our plane to see Jane, Mindi, and Kari. She thought it was so funny :)

Luke, Aves, and I on our little harbor tour boat in Long Beach.

The sea lions on the bouy we saw on the harbor tour

I just think this is so cute how Ava has her head down on the table. I swear I laugh about 10 hours a day at her and the things that she does. Who needs TV when you have Ava for entertainment. And no, I didn't plan Ava and my outfits to match even though we are both wearing polka dots!

This is me as a VOB (vision of beauty) in the morning- yeah right. But it's precious right!?

The view from our hotel room in Hermosa Beach. It looks so pretty- too bad the water was cold :(

Our last night on vacation I put Ava in her crib and a few minutes later I saw her rip the blanket off the side. I went over and thought it was so funny that she was looking right at me, I had to take some pictures. This was the first picture-- she looks kind of confused...

And this is the second one- smiling for the camera.

Ava and Grandpa Kort walking on "the Strand"

Luke in fron of a little restaraunt- need I say more....

Mom reading the "Financial Times" do you think she may have been posing for this picture?

What a classic picture of these two- I love it.

Vacation :)

We were so lucky to have a week off of school for Fall Break this year. We usually only get two days, but the U decided to give us an extra rbeak this year (YAY!). We were also so lucky to get to go on a very fun vacation. We went to Disneyland and stayed in the Disneyland Hotel for three days and then went to Hermosa Beach and stayed in a little hotel on the beach. We had such a good time being with family and relaxing. Here are some pictures from our vacation. There is a little something of everything....

We did Mickey's Halloweed Treat again this year since it was so productive last year. You seriously get like 10 pounds of candy and don't have to wait in long lines for the rides. This was Ava's "costume" we didn't want anything bulky so we just made her a sorta pirate (that's what we all kinda were)

The babies after about an hour and a half. Someday they are going to be sad they missed all the fun of their first Trick or Treating experience.

Luke and I having so much fun
Luke and Ava after a tiring day at the parks

Luke and Jane ready for more fun. Notice Jane's great face painting..

Need I tell you what this picture is?

Craig and Luke before going on the Tower of Terror (It was Craig's first time- and he was pretty nervous!) We all love this ride.
Ava climging into the nightstand in our hotel room. Also notice the sweet butterfly camo pajamas...

This is another reason why grandmas are great- they let you play in the waterfalls and get wet (something mom doesn't like to do!)

Ava sporting some awesome pilot goggles

We went on the new Finding Nemo submarine ride and ava was so loving it the whole time. She loves anything that has to do with water, and obviously this was no exception. She was bouncing up and down that whole time.

My mom before Small World. I love this picture!

Aves and I before small world- not as good as the previous picture.

Ava's first ride at Disneyland- what a great moment:)

Ava's first experience at Disneyland- WHAT!?? She is sleeping, I can't believe it. It didn't last long though- shock.

Ava waiting deleriously on the couch at the Disneyland Hotel. She was so tired and hungry by this time- but at least she's still smiling.

Blogspot is being pretty gay right now- I can't post any more pictures. I will try again tomorrow

Last post before vacation!!

I haven't posted any pictures for a little while- I had midterms in school the last week and a half! This week is Fall Break (no school for a week) so all those midterms were worth it. Here are some of the latest pictures we have taken.
She would put this whole thing in her mouth if it would fit!
A cute picture of Ava and daddy

I don't think I have ever seen so much slobber come out of one child's mouth!
Our lives are over! The other morning, Luke went in to get Ava out of her crib and this is how he found her. Since then, she pulls herself up on everything now.

Ava helping me study.....

Does this look like the face of someone who is not mischevious!?

Not the best picture ever, but you can kind-of see her two new teeth
