Father's Day weekends fun

We had a great Father's Day weekend and saw a lot of family. First, Carol Lynn, Amanda, Baylee and Trey came to town on Friday and spent a day with us visiting, shopping, and going to Temple Square. We got a few cute pictures of the kids (in most of them Amanda or I are trying to keep the kids from playing/falling into the water!), next my mom came into town to watch Ava for a little while due to her babysitter being on vacation, then we had dinner with my cousin Matt and his wife Ashley for a little joint Father's Day/Matt's birthday dinner. It was super yummy :) I just want to give a little shout out to my fabulous husband Luke. I couldn't have made a decision than the day I said yes when Luke asked me to marry him. We hadn't dated for very long although we had known eachother somewhat for our whole lives so it was kind-of crazy getting married to quick, but it was the best ever! Luke takes such good care of our little family and is so good to us. He is so patient and loving and doesn't like to argue so that is good for the both of us! I find myself realizing lately that he truly is my best friend and I am so glad that we can laugh and joke around. He works so hard at his job so that I don't have to work during school and I am so thankful for that. He is a great dad, he loves his little Aves so much and I get so happy when I watch them play together. She is lucky to have a dad who will get down on the floor with her and laugh and play. Thanks Luke- Happy Belated Father's Day. We will miss you next week while you are out of town :(

Much needed blog post....

So, during the busy school year I always thought to myself "during the summer I will post like every day since I won't be too busy!" but as you can all see- I have posted much less during the summer than I ever did during the school year. The summer has been super busy for us. Since I have to do two clerkships (the pharmacy school equivalent of medical rotations) the first four weeks of summer I tried to pack everything I could in. I started my 40 hour work weeks at a wal-mart by my house last week and I have three more weeks to go. After that I go to LDS inpatient pharmacy and do 4 more weeks of work and then I have 4 weeks off before I go back to school. The summer has been filled with so many fun outings and being with friends and family. Ava is being watched by one of my friends in our church ward who has kids and Ava is loving it. Erin has watched Ava since she was a baby- she has truly been a lifesaver! I am currently working four 10 hour shifts so that I can have three days off (Fri,Sat,and Sun) to be home with Ava and it is working out well- not optimal, but well. I really enjoy the people I work with and am learning so much practical knowledge. There isn't too much going on in our lives besides that- Luke passed his health and life insurance test and his new position with Edward Jones is going great- he loves it! My brother Jeff gets home from his mission next month (July 31st) and we are all counting down the days. I hope you enjoy the pictures....

No- it isn't the sock eating monster... it is just Ava wearing some of her shorts on her head.

The newest one year old in our family!

Probably the first picture of Ava and Brooke both looking at the camera (even if it was an accident!)

Have I ever said how cute Ava is when she is sleeping. She always sleeps like this, all curled up.
