Back to the blogging world!

I know I've been a horrible blogger..... I swear it's due to our technological problems/multiple issues. I think we're finally back in action with everything working finally! Don't give up on us......

Easter

We had an amazing and very uplifting Easter season this year. Luke and I recieved an "8 day walk with Christ" that we read and discussed every night and it was so good! We had some fun family gatherings and an Easter egg hunt. We are so blessed to have the knowledge of our Savior and the true reason we celebrate Easter!

Ava dyed, re-dyed, and dyed some more!

The Easter loot. Sawyer got no toys because, well.... he doesn't play with them. Is that strange!? The kids literally has never played with a toy for longer 5 seconds.... not exaggerating!

Post- church pics in our Easter best- there are some classics!

Easter Egg hunt

My two beautiful and wonderful sisters! (ANNOUNCEMENT: Kari and Brent are having baby #3 in November and we are all SOOOOO excited!)

The guys attempting to hula-hoop!

Sunny weather!

A few weeks ago, I packed up the kids and we headed to enjoy some sunshine in Vegas. We didn't get as much sunshine as we thought we would, but it was still some good good times.

The kids enjoying the ride---- and me very happy that S is asleep! I listened to a book on CD and cruised the whole way- we missed our dad, but we still managed to have fun!

Sawyer is looking so grown-up lately! He is our favorite little man!

We spent plenty of time looking like hobos.....

For the first time in a long time, I actually had time to do my hair for longer than 5 minutes! And I exchanged my sweats for real clothes! It's nice to go on vacation :)

We did get some swimming time in thank goodness!

We watched cartoons....

We did a lot of shopping!!!

We happened upon a super cool fashion show in the middle of, what else!?.... the Fashion Show mall!

We played at one of our favorite Vegas play spots at the Town Square mall. I, unfortunately, couldn't keep Sawyer away from the water fully clothed.....

The carnage from the frequent trips to the water fountains:

A great time was had (other than my mom being so sick we literally didn't see her for 36 hrs....., my sisters having to go home early, and Saw deciding it would be cool to start puking in the middle of the night before we had to come home!)

A cold, inside day

I'm pretty sure every year, Winter lasts a lot longer here in Salt Lake- we are now having the majority of our days as cold, many time snowy, and windy. I figure we have maybe 4-5 months of warm weather. What a drag! The kids are getting so so stir crazy and poor little Saw can't catch a health break! He's had literally every bug this winter, multiple times, and his everyday look now consists of a runny nose- really, I don't even recognize him without snot on his face..... but the little guy definitely takes it all in stride! Here's one of the many snowy days lately:

Enjoying our morning hydration.....

I'm sure he was trying to figure out how to get the lid off the sippy cup so he could wreak havoc...

Showing off his mouthful of teeth (side note: I have NEVER believed in the myths about teething=fever=sickness, but I am a total believer after the last few sets of molars S has gotten!)

At least someone found the lemonade in the lemons (aka snowflakes....) the sky dropped

Ava and dad ready to leave on their Saturday daddy/daughter date to see "Rango"

Happy St.Patrick's Day

All the pics are backwards! It's been a while since I have posted and I forgot I have to add them in reverse order. Boo!

We celebrated Jane's birthday with a delish spread and dessert! Presents were opened of course, and the birthday song was sung (as evidenced by the following pick!)

For some reason I have always had a super hard time understanding baby/toddler clothing sizes..... I understand when it give a month range ie: 6-12 months, but what exactly does it meanwhen only one number is on the tag, ie: 12M!? Does it mean 6-12m or 12-18m???? Hence, why my children end up wearing clothes that are to small (mostly jammies), but I'm pretty sure these jammies needed to be retired at least 2 months ago. I guess I'll just start following the algorithm of: belly shirt, capri length, 3/4 sleeve=too small!

The other day Ava went outside to do chalk....... After a short time, I joined her and found the following:

I don't know about you, but I was completely blown away! She had figured out how to spell the names of some of her friends by sounding them out! Little smarty pants :) She wrote: Ava, Lou (Low), Ele (Ellie), Jane, jona, Mason, Olivia, and Jeff (she still writes letters out of order)

St. Patrick's Day was a blast this year! We all sported our green and had a fun day. I threw an impromptu St.Patrick's Day party for Ava and a few neighbors after preschool. We had a lunch, treasure hunt, cookies, and crafts!

The finished shamrocks! The kids did so great :)

This is what Ava did with her frosting that was supposed to frost her cookies....

Attempt at a group pic- look at how cute the twinnies are!!

Eating our lunch of green juice, green jello, and a "pot of gold" (mac n cheese courtesy of Natalie!)

The treasure at the end of the rainbow. The kids following clues from place to place and ended up getting some sweet treasure

I started out making our green breakfast,..... only to find out I had no green food coloring! It was a total and complete bust.....

How funny is this face!?
