Late Night Post

Luke is in Kanab on a four-wheeling trip with the young men from our ward in Salt Lake so Ava and I are home alone. I figured I would take advantage of having nothing to do (well, ok- I do have a test in the morning I should be studying for! But as always, procrastinate til' the end!!) Luke just left at 4 p.m. and we already miss him and can't wait until he gets back. I thought I would post some new pictures. Enjoy:)

She started doing this pose today when I was taking pictures. She did it a few times and I thought it was so funnny- you can pretty much see all the way into her nose!

My sister Mindi and my neice and nephew Jane and Jonah slept over Tuesday night because Luke was on a business trip. In the morning Aves and Jane climbed into my bed with me. (ok- Ava didn't climb, ony Jane)

I know, the naked picture! I just thought she looked so cute. By the end of the day, we always have to take her clothes off since she spits up so much and now slobbers all the time since she is getting teeth!

I loved this shirt. I usually don't buy clothes with phrases on them, but this one I thgouth was to cute because it says "she's the best" on it.

We put these 3-6 month pants on Aves the other day and she crawled right out of them. They must be mismarked because she's nearly 8 months old and they are still too big.

Standing up

The other day I was gone and Luke was watching Ava. He was in the kitchen and when he came around the corner, there was Ava- standing up over the bar stool turned on it's side, just looking at him! Today she stood up by herself for almost seconds- we are in trouble!

The difference 7 months make!

Luke and I were just reminiscing about how much Ava has grown. We didn't realize the changes and how fast she is developing until we looked back at some of her first pictures. We will post a few of the pictures that we have similar ones of from when she was just new and now.

Escaped!!

Ava has a big fascination with our red garbage can. When I turn my back, she takes off and the next thing I know- she is over playing with the sides of the garbage. I decided to get smart one day and put a bar stool sideways on the floor to prevent her from getting to the kitchen. I was sitting on the couch and the next hting I know- she had crawled through the spaces in the stool to the garbage can! It was so funny.

The new pose

We are pretty sure Ava is going to be a supermodel since she is already practicing her poses. This is the pose she does just about avery 10 seconds when she is crawling. She very rarely pushes herself up into a sitting position- she just turns on her side and looks around.

Ava has been crawling for a while now and I figured I would post some action shots of her in motion She finally has enough hair to do a ponytain again! Even if it is microscopic.

Ava always crawls underneath one of our tables. It's her favorite spot!
