In an ice cave with daddy

The polar bear waving hello

Proof that humans aren't the only ones battling obesity.....

Trying to win Ava a prize

Wahoo!!!! He did it!

waiting for the dolphin show to start

Looking at the sharks

Shamu

Ava and her #3 favorite- aunt Mindi. Seriously- sometimes she won't go to anyone but Mindi and Mindi is almost the only person that Ava will go to if I am the one holding her. It is super cute!

Expending some energy running around on the grass

All smiles after a fun day at Sea World :)

Getting ready for the pool- super excited

She loved loved loved it!!

Her first dunk

Seaport village and the cute butterfly balloon- she started popping it like 5 minutes later.

Mom and Ava on the carousel- this was THE LONGEST carousel I have ever been on (not that I have been on that many!) but really, the whole time I was like "this thing is never going to stop!"

We have to watch this one with water because she will try to swim in anything. She loved playing in this fountain

This is Ava's typical face in her carseat. She always jabbers and sings- it's so great

Kari and I on the ship Midway

Luke and I in front of a sweet fighter plane (I think that's what it was anyway)

Ava's first sunburn! I swear I caked the girl in sunscreen, but she still got a little burned. It luckily wasn't too bad and it went away quick.

Ava and Mindi having an important discussion

Playing on the grass at the beach at La Jolla

Mom and Ava after she finished her snack

Chasing the (seagulls!?)

Our little family

Happy birthday uncle Craig!

Sideways, but cute. So tired after a long day of playing

Lighthouse at Point Loma

Playing in the sand on the beach. She didn't like the way it felt on her feet at all!

Family again

Spring Break Fun-ness!!

I am pretty sure that fun-ness isn't even a real word, but it is the word that I must used to describe our fabulous Spring Break. Spring Break for us started on Thursday March 13th (thanks to my professor who cancelled class on Friday for us!). We left that afternoon after a very harrowing test I had and made the trek to Cedar. I didn't realize what a great trip that was. It is so easy to just get on the freeway and 3.5 hours later be at your destination (still on the freeway!). We stayed with Jerron and Mikkell Glazier for a few days and had some of the best times ever with all our friends we haven't seen for a while! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures yet, but I am hoping Rachel and Mikkell post the ones they took (with the exception of a very abominable BYU picture that Rachel took! :) ) and I can steal the pics to post later. Here is the rundown: Thursday: arrived at Glaziers, went to Jackson's and had a yummy dinner- thanks Ash, went to APEX building and socialized with the girls and kids for a few hours while the guys underwent a serious ping pong match, and then went home late and crashed. Friday: got up early with Ava, ate breakfast at Gandolfo's (our favorite!), went home and Ava napped, the guys left to go coyote calling, Ash, Mikkell, and Katy with the kids hung out while Trajen napped, girls went to Christensen's to shop (another favorite!) and then had dinner at The Ninja with the Hawkins, Jackson's, and Glazier's (sans husbands for a few of us!) and it was super yummy, went home and we all stayed up late and talked politics with Monte (thanks for the presentation!). Saturday: Got up early again with Ava, got ready, went and watched uncle Craig play basketball, ate breakfast at Gandolfo's again (see I told you it is our favorite!) and then went and put Ava down for a nap, after the nap we went to the Hawkins for the rest of the day and had a great dutch oven dinner in the backyard (thanks boys!) and then went to Hurricane. Sunday: stayed at Uncle Dave's house, got up and went to a great church, came home and my family came over and we all had a super yummy dinner, played an invigorating game of basketball (which my team won!) and then we packed up and went home. We had such a fun time with all of you and were sad we didn't get to see all of you! This is an open invitation to you Cedar friends to come up for a weekend and stay at Casa de Ramsay- it would be real fun!!!

I have to study now for my exam on Friday, but I will post a few pictures of our next stop on the Spring Break fun-ness tour in sunny San Diego (more about that later....)

Upcoming Cedar Trip!!!!

Will it be this......

or this????.......

It is true- we are finally making good on all our good intentions and coming to Cedar for a few days to hang out with all you Cedar bloggers our there (and those who don't blog too!). I don't have everyone's numbers so I thought this would be the best way to get a little get together ready. We are going to come down Thursday afternoon the 13th of March (that is next week!) and stay until Saturday sometime. We would love to get together and have dinner someplace yummy on Friday (any ideas!?) and then we are all going to the APEX (spelling!?) building to enjoy a night of fun and craziness!!!! Let me know if you are interested and what your schedules are like Thursday-Sat so we can have some very great times and play dates (for the kids, of course!) I hope that it at least isn't TOO cold that weekend :)

PS- there is a new post of pics under this one so don't leave yet............

Fun on a Sunday Afternoon

Now that we have 9 am church on Sundays- we have to get really creative with the remander of our day, which there is a lot of time to get creative with. Here is what we were doing today:

Luke throwing Ava on the couch: frame by frame

One- two

......THREE!!!

The cushy landing

Ava's face loving it!

Ava and dad playing with blocks. I posted this one beacause look what Luke is doing in the background!!!

I am sure all you mothers who have kids out there agree that babies love cell phones. The funny thing about Ava is that she just loves MY cell phone. She doesn't play with Luke's, but if I give her mine she will play for 10 minutes or so. She loves it. Unfortunately- I don't really love the slobber, thankfully she hasn't ruined it yet.

placing a phone call......

funny face- funny hair

Another picture with the sippy cup

Video of Luke and Aves playing with her new fake dishes, only Luke puts a slightly different spin on "cooking"
