FHE at Silver Lake
Spent our almost definitely last time up the canyon without freezing temps and snow.... :( so sad! It was a peaceful drive and the leaves were so beautiful!

Our trip down south!
A few weeks ago- we had the invitation to head south for a few days and stay with some friends. I packed up the kids and we headed down for a fatherless and husbandless few days with some girlfriends! The moms had the BEST time, laughed a lot, reminisced, and ate some yummy food. The kids had two days of straight play- all except baby Tavs who was a sick little guy (but not contagious thank goodness :) We can't wait to get together again. Ava talks about Trajen ALL the time now so I'm sure we can't go too long without seeing him again :) Thanks Mikkel and Ashley for making our stay SO SO fabulous.
Almsot 4-year olds are SO easy to travel with- pair that with an almost 1-year old that has no problem sleeping in a car if planned out strategically and give the driver a book on CD- and I could drive for miles!!
The lovely ladies! I was so happy to meet Ashley's new tiny baby! He's so cute and she's such a fabulous mom!
Many hours were spent playing super heroes

As an added bonus- my mom and grandma came over one day and we did lunch and a very important shopping trip to Christensen's. It was so great to see them! You'd never believe how old my beautiful grandma is- she doesn't look a day over 50!

After pulling out of the gas station to head home- I heard some sniffles in the back seat and found Ava literally crying because she already missed Trajen.... It was so sweet and so sad!

Final soccer game of the season (thank goodness!). Ava needs some definite practice of not playing with friends during the whole game- but she's cute!

Ashley's baby luncheon
My cousin (in-law, but we love her like a cousin!) Ashley and us girls went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory a few weekends ago to celebrate the upcoming birth of their first baby. Lunch was delicious and the company was even better. It was so fun to see all the girls gifts Ashley got. We're so lucky to all live so close to eachother (someday we'll get Mindi and Gaige to move by us too!) And since I'm so late in getting this post up- Ashley and Matt welcomed their ADORABLE little girl last Friday and she's perfect! Congrats!

Just because
..... I needed to get my shiny, end-of-the-day face off of being the first thing I see when I pull up the blog...... I decided to do a post, sans pics, since I am to lazy to go up and find my camera and cord.
Story:
Ava's been sick. She's much better today. Last night I heard her talking over the monitor at 2 am- strange. I went into her bedroom and saw there appeared to be blood all over her face. You know when you've just woken up and for a few seconds can't tell what's real or reality. I was hoping this blood wasn't a reality... I blinked my eyes a few times and it didn't go away. I was a little freaked. Thank goodness only a few seconds later I realized she'd had a bloody nose (probably what woke her up) and managed to rub it all over her face, hands, pillows, blankets, etc. It was sad and a little gross. So I wiped it up and took care of the linens, tucked her back into bed and we all went back to sleep :)
PS- Discovered water on our downstairs carpet in the back bedroom, along with obviously wet walls in the bathroom next door. Called in Utah Disaster Clean-up and found out it's probably been going on since we moved in (we don't really ever use those 2 rooms so it took us a while to notice there was a problem). They're going to have to tear down a few walls and get rid of the mold that probably has started growing (ewwww!) Which requires quarantining both rooms for 3 days. $5000.00- hopefully the majority is covered by insurance. Nightmare.
