School is almost over!!

I am thrilled beyond words to say the following: I have exactly 36 hours, 2 exams, and maybe 2 hours of studying before I am completely done with classes for the rest of my life! It' been a long, grueling 7 years of college, but I have almost made it through! For the next year all I do is what we call "clerkships." It is essentially the same as rotations for med students. I will be doing 7 different 6 week rotations (40 hrs/wk, all unpaid :( ) at different pharmacy locations ranging from anticoagulation at LDS hospital to the NBICU at the U hosp. I get 9 weeks off starting in November and 6 weeks self-study in Jan/Feb. So all-in-all I technically only have 10 months of college and then the state law exam and Naplex national exam for pharmacists until I am a certified PharmD! I am so super happy and excited. It's like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Ava and Luke have been total troopers through it all and I want to give them both a shout out and an "I love you- you are the ultimate best!" to both of them. Especially Luke- he has encouraged me 100% and helped me with hours of studying and quizzing! I love you hots :)

Wicked, part 2

Last Tuesday Luke, Brent, Kari, and I went on a double date to Wicked. It was great. Not as good as the week before due to the Elpheba understudy not having much talent.... Really- how did she get the part!? We still loved it though!

PS- these are the only 2 pictures we managed to snap, they might not be perfect but they're good enough to document! :)

Grandma Baird's 80th birthday party

Yesterday we went to Orderville for a few hours for Luke's grandma's birthday party. It was a good time and Ava loved playing with her cousins.

With cousins: Brady, Baylee, and Trey

Playing around as things wind down

Happy birthday (Don't mind my plate of food, I wasn't quite prepared...)

All the great grandkids

Chuck-e-cheese

This was one of the funnest activities I have done with Aves. For only $17 we had pizza, unlimited drinks, and two hours of endless fun and we have tons of tokens left! We can't wait to go again with Lola and Renea

Don't forget coloring the eggs!

Thanks to Matt and Ashley for letting us come over and color Easter eggs!

I call this the: somehow I got a powdered donut hole from the package off the tall counter and ate it, face

Easter

We had an enjoyable Easter this year. Ava totally loved hunting for Easter eggs and she even learned about the resurrection and can point out the tomb where Jesus' body lay. Ava did three Easter egg hunts, one with friends, one with cousins, and one at my grandma's assisted living facility. She made out like a bandit with a bubble maker and a wagon with sand castle toys. It was so funn :)

Before the hunt with Alyssa

Ready, set, go...

By this hunt she finally just picked up eggs and put them in her basket rather than opening them up first!

Thoroughly enjoying the candy..

Cheese :)

Easter egg hunt with auntie Kari

Thanks so much aunt Kari for the funnest time ever- and the best prizes!

Wicked

So- we all forgot to take camera's, but we had such a blast going to the opening night of "Wicked." It was a sibling night out and it was phenomenal! I had seen it a few years ago in New York and I thought the showing at Capitol Theater was every bit as good as Broadway and that the lead playing Galinda was WAY better here in Salt Lake. Can't wait to see it again next week with my fabulous husband :) I will take a picture to document.....

Stake basketball champs!

Lest you think I am talking about Luke......

That's right- I played in our stake women's basketball league and had the time of my life! It was so fun to play again and I finally figured out what Hal Hamblin was trying to tell me all those years ago about "shooting off the glass" - I mean, I always knew what it meant, but now I can actually do it consistently! Too bad it came way too late!

The Winder 6th girls :) With our size XL t-shirts.... really people, really!? When was the last time you saw met a girl who felt like wearing an XL t-shirt...
