Chicago in a nutshell

I was planning on doing long, detailed, fabulous posts about our vacation, but I'm having a hard time getting up the desire.... So- here is the condensed version of Luke and my first vacation without our kids. We had a great time and I can't wait to go back to Chicago again! ( next time with Ava so we can go to the American Girl store together!) The weather was beautiful in Chicago, the football game Saturday was cold, rainy, and a total letdown (thank a lot Utes!). We are so happy to be home with the kids now- a big thanks to our babysitters!

Somehow happened upon a personal tour at Wrigley field when they weren't doing them- perfect!

Hello the shopping!! This was the vision I see in my dreams- a Rack and H&M right next door to one another!

In the glass boxes that stick off the sides on top of the Sears (Willis) Tower

The Bean

The happy travelers!

Luke and I in The Rookery ( essentially a really old bldg...)

Waiting for the bus and eating Garret's popcorn- the BEST!!

Awaiting in the cold for our tour along the river that runs through downtown Chicago

Some of Chicago's amazing architecture!

Hershy's store..... need I say more!?

The guys dream.... The college football Hall of Fame.... What we don't do for those we love!

Our first glimpse of Notre Dame stadium

Touchdown Jesus- sacreligous for sure, but a famous sports fan's landmark

braving the cold and the horrible game

Eating The Best pizza ever at Gino's East... worth the hour and a half we waited in line to get a table!

looks like good times p. I love how the Utes score is ZERO on the screboeard in the picture. A true depiction of their lousiness lately.
