Kids are so resilient!

In the middle of the night, two nights ago, Ava woke up crying saying 'I throwed up, I throwed up!" Luke and I went into her room, and sure enough she had thrown up (just a little thank goodness!) and she was quite hot to the touch. We changed her sheets, I rocked her, and we put her back to bed. The next morning when Ava woke up, she was still hot, and she was obviously ill. She just wanted to lay around all day. We gave her some medicine and she took a nice long nap. After her nap she layed around a little and the next thing I knew was on my bed, bouncing like a monkey and running around like she had never been sick. I even have pictures to document it! I am amazed at how quickly sometimes a bug can run it's course!!! Unfortunately she still has a little bit of a sore throat, but is doing much better today :)

Morning: notice the sad little half eaten applesauce cup right next to her..... :(

Afternoon:

30 minutes after the previous picture!

That's funny how fast she was done with it! My kids just recently got introduced to the hand, foot, & mouth disease. Ever heard of it? Yeah, I know it sounds terrible, but it hasn't been too bad. They both got fevers one night for a couple of hours and then 2 days later they got spots on their hands and feet. Throughout this they haven't acted sick at all-we've just had to keep them away from everyone. Although, apparently some other parents didn't give us the same consideration. Anyways, having sick kids is no fun, but I'm glad they have great immune systems that get it over with fast.
