Thursday night Kari, Mindi, and I decided to hit up Toys-r-us when it opened at 10 pm. HOLY COW- were we unprepared. We waited in line outside for an hour just to get in and it was freezing! The we shopped til' we dropped and then proceeded to wait in the check out line for 3 hrs.... We definitely weren't going to leave after we had already put in 2 hrs just to get to that line! I saved a ton of money so I think it ended up being worth it. Kari and I had some good laughs (Mindi didn't stay to endure the insanity, but we sure missed her!)
Friday night we had a girl's night and saw the Rockettes- it was sooooo good and soooo fun. Ava loved it (especially the dance with a million santa's!) It was such a fun holiday tradition that we hope to continue.
We rounded off the fun holiday weekend with the Utah vs. BYU game. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g (for a Ute fan of course!) It was super super cold, but worth it in the end! Too bad we rolled over and died during those 2 unmentionable games during our season or the Ramsay's would be planning a much wanted trip to a great bowl game (sorry Vegas Bowl- definitely not going to make it to a mid-week, less than stellar bowl game against Boise state after we already went all the way to Notre Dame and watched the least exciting game I have seen since watching little league tee-ball and I'm too scared Boise will prove to be an opponent worse than Notre Dame/TCU and rumor has it our regular QB won't be playing..... call me a fairweather/no faith fan, but I already had my heart ripped out twice this season.....)Anyway...... It was so fun to be at the game with Luke- we had a great great time! See you soon Pac-10 (or 12)!
We're excited for Christmas to come! I've made a great Christmas playlist on my iPOD and it contains 6 new songs this year that I'm in love with! May I suggest "Hallelujah" by the Canadian Tenors (not just for Christmas which is so satisfying!) it will move you to tears and have you singing at the top of your lungs at the same time (imagine that picture for a moment- funny, huh!?) We're trying to focus much more on the true meaning of Christmas this year and so far we're feeling a lot more peace :)
So now, without further ado (sp?) ..... the pictures/proof!
I'm going to add a few things about my Thankfullness in the spirit if the season along the way....
Poor Saw..... he's in such a destructo phase- he has to be banished to the baby toys sometimes just to maintain sanity. He walks, he runs, he climbs, he falls, he bumbs, he splashes in the toilet, he pulls out all toys/DVD's/bibs/silverware/anything and everything, he is seriously crazy! Whoever said boys are easier than girls didn't get my kids...... We love every troublemaking minute of him though because for every crazy moment there are at least twice as many more cuddly (surprising, but he loves loves loves to snuggle right in with a binki and a soft blanket when he's sleepy), loving, mamma or dadda-saying, uncontrollable laughing, funny moments!

Mindi and Gaige have the perfect house for party hosting! It was absolutely perfect!
Ava and Jonah- these 2 have a love/hate relationship for sure. They are so excited to play together, but definitely have their fighting moments! We love our Ava so much. She was the perfect first addition to our family. She still lets me pick out all her clothes and never puts up a fuss when I make her put on a totally different outfit :) She say the sweetest things to me (such as: "you're my best mom ever!" "I love you so much" "I'm so lucky") she still naps 75% of the time which is so fabulous for me! She is very logical and rarely throws tantrums. So so thankful for our girl!

The Rockettes:

I know I look like a total granny, but it was so cold I didn't care even for 1 second!

Luke is such an amazing husband and father. There is not a day that goes by that I don't realize how lucky I am to have my husband be my best friend. I am so thankful that he rather spend time with his family than do anything else. He's always down with going to a chic-flick with me (even if he doesn't really want to see it...) He plays and plays with our kids and they love him (Sawyer walks around that house saying "dadda" all day long when Luke's at work- it's heartmelting!) He works tirelessly for us at work and then works tirelessly when he comes home. We're so blessed to have him and his eternal optimism in our lives. Bonus- he' also a Utes fan!

Seriously you Stirlands. Trajen wants to know what I am laughing at and is coming to investigate. Those cold game pics are hilarious. Love the granny look, Luke, and Craig put me over the top. Looks like fun though!
Hahahaha! One of your best posts ever. #1. Alton Brown: so psychs. #2. I believe it was 1 hour and 45 minutes standing in the -458 degree weather at Toys-R-Us. #3. How does Saw do it? He exherts more energy in 1 minute than I do in one year-not a pregnancy year either-a regular one complete with working out every day. I can't keep up with him! #4. hahahahaha Craig.Poor little fella.
